Item Description:
Beautiful vintage Japanese porcelain lidded jar, featuring a hand-painted bird and floral motif with rich colours and fine gold detailing.
The artwork includes a multicoloured bird (possibly a phoenix) on one side and colourful flowers on the reverse.
The jar has a domed lid, also decorated with floral and gilt designs, and is finished with gold trim at the top and base.
Base stamped in brown with Japanese characters and the word “Japan”, indicating mid-century Japanese export porcelain (circa 1950s–1970s).
Condition:
Good vintage condition. No chips or cracks. Some light wear and minor gilt fading consistent with age. Displays beautifully.
