Charming antique blue and white transferware plate made by Seaforth, England.
It features a beautiful Oriental Chinoiserie-style landscape scene with a pagoda, figures, and trees, surrounded by an ornate floral and lattice border.The underside bears the Seaforth “Made in England” backstamp, with the distinctive interlocking knot mark and pattern number “2.”
This is a lovely example of early 20th-century English pottery inspired by 19th-century aesthetic movement designs.
